What Do Nausea And Absence Of Bleeding Despite Taking Primolut N Suggest?

Hello. My last cycle began on april 24th, after my next cycle did not begin I took several hpt, all of which came out negative. I then visited my gyn and was found to have a persistent folicle which was thought to be the cause of my delayed period. I was prescribed primolut nor once a day for 10 days to bring on my cycle, however 6 days after the last pill I still had no period, but was feeling nausea. I took another hpt and this time it instantly came back positive. Now I am worried that the primolut will have damaged the fetus. I m 40 years old and already have two children.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Primolut is not preferred to be used in pregnancy. If you used it for a short time there is no certain evidence that may cause birth defects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
