What Do Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Ankles Indicate?

14 months ago I had foot surgery. I had my ankle fused and my achilles tendon lengthened. Now 14 months later the right outer part of my ankle is still numb and tingly how long is this going to last? Also I get sharp shooting pains once in awhile doing now have neuropath doing now have neuropathy?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, it is quite possible that you may have compression neuropathy.
Since you had ankle surgery, you might have entrapped nerve during healing post surgery.
And this can cause numbness, local site pain etc.
Unfortunately no effective treatment is available for this.
But you can try Pregabalin or Gabapentin.
Also take Vitamin B 12 supplements as this is also beneficial in Neural pain.
