What Do Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Lower Legs Indicate?

My son is 26 years old and was overweight. He recently did keto diet and lost 100 pounds in 100 days. But he has now developed some tingling/numbness in his feet and lower legs. He has been tested and is not diabetic and blood results all look fine. His gait has changed he says since losing the weight. He has been to doctors and chiropractors. He is on his feet all day and also it interferes with his sleep.

Hello,

If there is any nerve compression, then also he will have tingling sensation and numbness. So, we need to examine him for sciatic nerve compression anywhere in the course of the nerve.

Since he has lost weight in such a short time we need to even think of malignancy if it has caused a tumor which has been damaged the nerve also.

So, only with physical examination, we will be able to find what could be his problem. Please take him to the nearest practitioner for the above mentioned examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
