I went home and tried to rest but this morning I still have the pain and now noticed my stomach ya severely bloated and distended. Could have hat be related?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You need to consult an orthopedician at the earliest who may advice you to get an X-ray done to make sure there is no trauma and fracture of the ribs. If there is any crack of fracture, then the doctor may put some splint to immobilize the chest or may just advice you rest and pain killer tablets.

Stress due to trauma may be causing gastritis and bloating of the abdomen. You meet your doctor who may give you antacid tablets. Also follow some diet like avoiding spicy, oily food. Take small meals at frequent intervals.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
