What Do Pain And Burning Sensation On The Calves Indicate?
Halo sir, I have mild pricking sensation or mild pain, burning sensation on my both calf area and testicals on and off, it will be more if I drink alcohol for 3 consecutive days.....some times there is absolutely no pricking pain. What could be my problem sir?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Pricking or other abnormal sensations are usually related to abnormal function of the nerves that supply the area. This is called neuropathy.
Alcohol has an effect on nerve function particularly when it is used for long periods or if it is used excessively. There are other causes as well. If it continues, you can consider seeing your doctor for assessment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
