What Do Pain And Swelling In The Feet Indicate?

I have had a lot of swelling and pain in both of my feet. Since June 2017. The first time I came in they told me it was due to blood not circulating correctly and put two stents in femoral artery and that should take care if it not. Have been back to vascular departments twice and emergency twice. The last time they took an x-ray which said that I had calcification density in my foot. Said the only thing I could do was to keep my foot elevated and stay off of it. What type doctor handles this. I have a rheumatologist who said this is beyond his scope. Please steer me in the right direction.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You need to consult a vascular surgeon for clinical, laboratory, and other essential tests. In general, there are many possibilities for feet swelling including vascular problems, heart disease, and other disorders. Examination and routine assessment in the nearest medical center is important for further evaluation as well as for treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
