Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Pain And Swelling In The Left Ankle Indicate?
I am having pain in my left ankle with swelling on outer side behind ankle bone, hard to walk on, especially first thing in the morning, pain seems to get better though the day longer I walk on it but then begins again in the evenings and remains swelled. also hurts along outer edge of heel. I had x-ray and it showed nothing broken said suspicion for talocalcaneal tarsal coalition. Unremarkable soft tissues. Could this be Plantar Fasciitis?
Is there any history of trauma here? Since x-ray is unremarkable, it might be a tendon rupture. You can put crape bandage and do hot sponging, also give it rest.
You can also take tablet Diclofenac if it pains a lot along with Serratiopeptidase. If it does not improve in a few days, then you need to go to orthopedics.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Purnima Sharma
