Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had pain behind left eye as well as swelling on eyelid and around eye as well as chemosis. Optometrist put me on antibiotic and it is better after 4 days. If it were an inflammatory condition such as scleritis could the antibiotic be the cause for it getting better? What else could it be?
It may be due to stye or folliculitis or chalazion et cetera. Until examination of the lesion done, it is difficult to say what it is.
Continue antibiotics and eye drops definitely give some relief. If symptoms not improved, please consult your ophthalmologist, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
