What Do Pain, Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Right Hand Indicate?
32 y.o. female. Hx: HTN. I have pain, numbness, and tingling in my right hand and forearm. Very bad in the mornings, but will last all day. It comes and goes, gets pretty severe at times. At a recent doctor s visit, general physician said he didn t think it was really carpal tunnel syndrome, but that it might be coming from my neck. I am an ICU nurse. Therefore, I do lots of heavy lifting and pulling at times. The last day or so I have noticed a slight occasional tremor to my right hand, too. Your opinion of what this could be is greatly appreciated.
Hi! Thank you for using Healthcaremagic! Yes, this does not sound like carpal tunnel syndrome, since that is usually sever at night and on the thumb side more often. I think it is just a neuromuscular kind of pain. You don't have to worry about it much as it would go away with simple measures. I suggest that you do some neck exercises i.e. forward bending, extending your neck, lateral bending both sides and against resistance. You can search it up as it is difficult to explain on text. Take a break from heavy lifting and pulling and also take some multivitamins with B complex in it. If the pain is sever you can take Pregabalin starting with a dose of 75mg once a day. Wish you good health! Kindly rate the answer.
