What Do Pain While Swallowing And Shortness Of Breath Indicate?

have problem swallowing. pain at that time, get short of breath and my doctor is going to have test as I am a cancer patient of three different cancers all of so far hasn t returned but my family has a large history of cancer . when I have the Barium test will it show cancer or are they just looking for a cause

Barium test gives the doctor an information for the lumen of the esophagus and stomach too. It gives information of the presence of any tumor or ulcer in the lumen that might be pressing the trachea and causing such symptoms. If anything is seen, then the doctor asks for more invasive procedures, like biopsy, angiography, CT scan, etc.
