What Do Painful And Itchy Bruises On The Left Thigh Indicate?

Hi, I awoke yesterday with 3 perfect bruises on my left thigh. This has happened twice before, onece when I was a kid and again a few years back. I ve gone to several doctors but still none can tell me what this is. The bruises burn, itch and there s a little pain and sometimes blisters occur within the bruises.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If the blisters with pain and itchiness appear over the same region of thigh every time, there must be residual infection in terms of bacteria or fungi residing in deep crevices of the dermis of the skin. I would quote the need of culture report of the discharge r content of blister or bruise for best microbiological evaluation and further guidelines of management in your case. Primary care with antiseptic cleaning and local application of polymycin cream would give best soothing action with tablet cetirizine for itching control.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
