What Do Painful And Tingling Joints Indicate?

I m a 51 year old female. My joints feel achy similar to how they feel after I ve done hip hop aerobics however I have not exercised in about 3 weeks. Also I m feel tingling in joints similar to what I ve felt when I have not eaten enough which then includes a headache. In my early 20s I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia.

Hi,
I've gone through your query and I understand quite well your concern
Based on what you referred to me, your symptoms such as painful joints and tingling of them are related to your early diagnose: Pernicious anemia. It's caused by Vitamin B12 deficiency. This vitamin is very important because is essential for a number of biochemical processes in the body. It is required for cellular metabolism and energy production; DNA synthesis etc. It helps also to produce healthy red blood cells and to keep nerves cells healthy too. The reason maybe the problems with stomach cells , which become enable to produce intrinsic factor which helps the intestines to absorb this vitamin.
Vitamin B deficiency cause symptoms such as depression, fatigue, psychosis, mania and failing memory, painful and tingling joints, ostheoporosis (the deficiency triggers the demineralization of the bone)

So, I suggest you:
1. You must change your diet and eat mostly animal sources (beef liver, turkey, pork liver etc) Vitamin B12 is also available in fortified foods such as cereals, energy bars, energy drinks, soy products and nutritional yeast.
2. You must take vitamin B12 supplements to avoid a deficiency in the vitamin.
Vitamin B12 is also available as supplements in different forms including pills, nasal sprays, injections, liquid and transdermal patch. These are effective for relieve both acute and chronic joint pain.
3.Vitamin B12 injection is usually given to vegetarians who do not eat meat (for you also because you told me that you are not eating enough)and may quickly develop vitamin B12 deficiency.
So this vitamin relieves joint pain and inflammation caused by bursitis by regulating the action of the immune cells responsible for the inflammation and pain.
4.Joint pains can also be treated home with ice packs, compression bandages
5. You can use over the counter pain relivers such as Ibuprofen etc. However, vitamin B12 injection is the safest means of reducing the swelling and joint pain.

Wish you good health
