What Do Painful Bumps On The Elbows And Behind The Knees Indicate?

I have itchy painful bumps on my elbows, behind my knees and on the tops of my fingers and my ankles. I have been told it is atopic dermatitits and eczema and i have been treating with flouocinonine ointment. I am curious that because it is on my joints that maybe it has something to do with rheumatology. is that a possibility? i have been to dermatologists and allergists and I can make this go away permanently.

Hi,

You may be suffering from dermatitis herpetidiformis or phynoderma or eczema or psoriasis, etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. It may be food allergy or allergy to soap or moisturizing cream, etc.

Apply medication like topical steroids and oral steroids. It has to be confirmed by skin biopsy. Please consult your dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
