What Do Painful Bumps On The Fingers Indicate?

Hi - I have bumps that come out of the joints on my fingers, on the underside of my fingers. The bumps hurt but my joints do not. The bumps come and go and have been doing that for 2 years but I am noticing that when I get a bump now it is bigger. This bumps are hard but you can move them around.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

I am glad we connected.

Bumps over the hand may be seen with rash and allergies. These are often seen with medications or with creams.

Many people find icing the area, using calamine lotion, and taking over the counter antihistamine for this.

In case the symptoms persist, getting a check up would be a good idea.

Hope this helps. All the best.
