What Do Painful Bumps On The Hands And Feet Indicate?

I have painful bumps on my hands and feet. They come and go, they usually last about a month when they show up. When they go away it is only for about a week and then they come right back. Each time I get them they hurt worse and worse with every time and more and more show up. I ve been getting them on and off since the end of June. I ve went to the doctors for them and they don t know what it is. They put me on steroids and at first it seemed that they worked but only for about 3 days and then they started to come back worse. I Just want to know what it is. They are extremely painful. They have a yellowish fluid in them sometimes. When showering it burns for water to get on them. They sting all the time and make my hands numb and tingly. I can barely close my hand all the way and it hurts when I do.
