Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a large lump on the top of both feet. Left foot lump is bigger. Painful to touch and painful to walk. It feels better with tight fitting shoes like tennis shoes. But PCP has made X-rays and diagnosed it as arthritis. Can this be possicle as it is not In a joint
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As it is bilateral, there are 2 possibilities: 1. Systemic issue (arthritis, gout, or others) 2. Related to positional compression (as sitting cross-legged for long period of time or certain ornaments irritating particular portion in females)
High-resolution clinical photograph would be of great help to understand the issue more thoroughly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Purva Patel
