What Do Painful Lumps On The Feet Indicate?

I was born with a knot on side of my foot,where the cubiod and calcaneus meet . Ussually doesnt hurt but I ve been having dull ache lately for unkown reason. I have knots on both feet.My mom used to say they were extra toes turned backward.Im pretty sure she was joking,but thats kinda what they look like.Do I need to see my Dr.

Most probably it might be a bony spur. You can go for an MRI scan to get a better clinical picture and to look for any nerve impingement and to rule out ligament and tendon involvement. If it is asymptomatic and doesn’t cause any pain or discomfort, then no treatment is required. In case of pain better to consult an orthopaedician and consider surgical removal.
