Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son has had this chronic spasms in his intestine area and become constipated. Not having a movement for up tp 6 days. He just went to the hospital to see what was up and they did blood tests and scan on him. They sent him away saying he needed fiber and gave him under the tongue meds for spasms and nausea. he didn t eat anything solid for 5 days but drank prune juice and water and broth. He finally went the day before yesterday after he had eaten a 1/2 sandwich. he got his appetite back, but his bowel movements are still a little off. He is cramping rough today again. When he has these spasms they steal his energy and he becomes very tired, also after he eats. unusually tired. He also gets very tired after a bowel movement. Is this normal for someone who just needs more fiber? He is getting more as of late.

What Do Painful Spasms In The Abdomen Indicate?
Hello, As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and plan for an ultrasound scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
