hi,i m 20 year old i have painless ulcers on my tonsils since 3 weeks befor that it was painful and difficultie in swallowing, no history of fever or headache. i have had treatment from ent surgen but according to him this might be from stomach irritation or restlessness and he prescribed me steroids and h2 receptor blocker but after pain relief i stopped medicines and suddenly 3 days ago i noticed that ulcers still there but painless. what it could be?? should i get worried? any malignancy ?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Need not to be worried. Take antibiotic for 5 days. Salt water gargle twice daily can help you. Antacids and H2 blockers can also be added. If possible, tonsillectomy can be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Anusuya Ramesh
