What Do Persistent Brown Vaginal Spotting Indicate?
Hi after having sex for the first time the day after my period ended my boyfriend and i noticed right away after he finished in me that the condom broke. I took plan b about 30 minutes after the incident. 2 days after taking it I had terrible body aches and a bad headache. A week after I had brown spotting for about 2 days. Now it has almost been 2 weeks since the incident and I am having lower back pains. I am not due for my period for another 2 weeks. Are the symptoms Iv had most likely from plan B or are they signs of pregnancy?
Some of the symptoms what you are experiencing like headache, body ache, spotting, and low back pain could be caused as side effects of Plan B.
After taking Plan B, you need to get withdrawal bleeding just like your periods within a week after its intake.
If bleeding doesn't happen by 10 days, you need to seek medical attention promptly for clinical evaluation and appropriate management by consulting Obstetrician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
