What Do Persistent Rash On The Right Arm Indicate?
I have this rash it appears only on my right arm mostly between the shoulder and elbow. My Dr diagnosed me with shingles a few months ago. Was treated and seemed to get better. Anyway not even sure that was it because I never had blisters. This itch is relentless, and usually at its worst when I relax on the couch. Thinking not an allergy since that s the only area affected please help
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent rash on the right arm which is very common as dirt and moisture get trapped by your clothing and the friction that comes from sitting can these symptoms.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep this area clean and dry. Apply cream containing azelaic acid and apply warm compresses with soaked towel and apply vitamin C serum at night. You should avoid touching or pricking rashes. If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor will examine physically along with blood test and sample for lab test. Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants , antibiotics like clindamycin , anti inflammatory or anti fungal.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
