Hello,
I can understand your concern. As your period was 5 days late last month, you should consider the new date, 5-days late date for the projected date of your
menstruation this month. So what you are considering 6 days late might just be one day over your expected date and if you get periods as late as 10 days after your projected date it can be considered normal. Some changes in dates are okay as it is affected by level of
stress, temperature, your environment, level of exercise etc. Thus, the symptoms you are having might be premenstrual symptoms and you may get periods soon.
In addition, if you want to go for urine
pregnancy test, you can buy a pregnancy test kit with the stick from the medical store and test it with the first urine of the morning. Alternatively, you can go for a
blood test for pregnancy which is more reliable.
However, if you experience extreme premenstrual symptoms every month and delayed menstruation, then a consultation and physical examination by the gynecologist are advised.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Let me know if you have follow up questions.
