What Do Presence Of Pus Cells In Urinalysis Report During Pregnancy Indicate?
Hi am 9 weeks pregnant i underwent urinalysis weekly to monitor my pus cells and the last result found was 8-10 hpf..should i need to worry about this result? I already finished taking my meds for 7 days and that s the result of my pus cells thank you.
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM Pus cells in urine may signal an infection even in the absence of symptoms or not.Pus cells as few as 8-10hpf are normal values .As long as the value does not exceed 10 hpf, it is normal. Just stay calm, continue with your antenatal visits as planned.Urinalysis will occassionally be requested to rule out asymptomatic bacteria in urine which if neglected can become serious given the susceptibility of pregnant women to UTIs Hope my answer will help you Best regards
