Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctor Yesterday I got my urine test done and it shows pus cells 8-10 /God and epithelial cells 2-3/hpf,I am having very much weakness and lot of lower abdominal pain, got scanning done it says thickened endometrium and minimal free fluid in pod, please guide me what it says..is it any serious condition
It really depends on the number, 8 to 10 pus cells is a bit abnormal and frankly it's hard to say because infection would be at least 10x more. epithelial cells generally don't mean much. The 8 to 10 doesn't have a really good explanation and might need a scoping. Thickened endometrium matters about the context. Endometrium changes during the menstrual cycle and varies with age. if it is asymmetric and occurring in an elderly woman with bleeding then it certainly is serious.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
