What Do Raised Bumps On The Stomach And Legs Of A Child Indicate?

my 10 year old son has probably over 100 raised pimple looking bumps on the stomach back and upper legs. we took him to the urgent care yesterday, but the infection has gotten worse. Do you have any idea what this could be? The rash looks absolutely disgusting.

Hi,

Such bumps are likely to be due to insect bites, allergy, viral infection like small pox or certain skin conditions. Can apply calamine lotion. Over the counter allergy medicine in half adult dose for a couple of days should resolve it Otherwise. He should get examined by a physician to find exact cause followed by specific medications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
