What Do Random Blisters On Arms And Sore Spots Indicate?
Hi, I had an illness while in Australia in 2013 which caused a rash all over my arms and legs, they were a bit like blisters that soon scabbed over and have now left scars. The doctor just signed me off sick for 2 weeks and never told me what it was or prescribed any medication. Since then I occasionally come out with a random blister or two on my arms only, and I get scabs that look like cigarette burns that pop up seemingly out of nowhere. Any ideas what this is?
An interface dermatitis or contact dermatitis is an itchy rash with small, fluid-filled blisters that develop in response to a primary infection, usually fungal. It most often occurs on the sides of fingers but can also be found on the chest or arms. Other causes of blisters such as Dyshidrotic eczema, infections such as herpes, erysipelas, impetigo, shingles should be ruled out. Sudden increase in number or size of blisters, blood filled blisters warrant the need to visit the physician.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
