What Do Rashes On The Abdomen Indicate?

On Labor Day I suddenly broke out into a rash across the front of my abdomen. I went to an immediate care where I was treated for an allergic reaction to something unknown. I was put on prednisone for 5 days. I completed the meds and a started developing thrush. My tongue is fully covered by the color white, my taste is off, I have a terrible after taste, my tongue hurts and burns and on top of that last night I noticed a rash again under one of my breasts and around the back. The rash burns and itches. There are also welts. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical experience, the tongue issue is due to stomatitis which is drug induced secondary folate deficiency. Rashes are likely to be side effect of the drug or flare up of pre existing allergy due to compromised immune system.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
