What Do Rashes On The Corners Of The Mouth Indicate?
hi there. My question is. Its been almost a month and the sides of my lips has small cuts (like cold sore) and red like rashes. Do you know what causes it and what treatment should i use? I just put a lip balm for its not dry but maybe the lip balm i'm using is what causes it? Let em know.
Your symptoms are appearing to be due to a condition known as Angular Chelitis..
It causes rashes and cuts at the corners of the mouth..
Common causes can be due to Iron or Vitamin B 12 deficiency, fungal Infection, dry mouth or dehydration, loss of teeth, excess moisture accumulation etc..
As of now start applying a combination of antifungal, antiseptic and steroid ointment, do cool compresses, and apply thick coat of petroleum jelly to lock moisture.. Take Vitamin B complex supplement..
You can also avoid moisture accumulation in that area..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
