Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 13 y.o. daughter started getting what she thought were mosquito bites about a week ago. since then they have actually become hives. They were going away in the middle of the night and she would wake up clear but then they would come on again throughout the day. They are large and spread and now she is getting them on her feet and fingers. It seem to be getting worse . We tried looking at her diet, the foods that typically can trigger hives. We stopped her milk intake and egg intake for a few days but that doesn t seem to have done any good. she is almost worse tonight. We put Benadryl cream on them and she is taking Benadryl tablet orally. We have never had anything like this before. I am at a loss. any suggestions? Could it be something else and not just hives?
