What Do Red Blisters Under The Breast Indicate?

I am 78 y/o woman, had chicken pox at age 6, had shingle on the left side of my nose approx. 35 years ago. It was a nightmare! NOW-- I have a bunch of small red blisters, approximately 12 of them by now but may be more, under my right breast (at the fold), and it seems to be spreading toward the back. It s not painful and itching only part of the time. It looks like one of the pictures I saw on the Internet, and the sensation is NOT as it was 35 years ago. Today is Sunday and tomorrow a holiday. HOW urgent is it for me to see a doctor? Should I wait or seek help ASAP? Note: I have been under increased stress recently and lost a few pounds probably as a result of decreased apetite. I am now 108 lb, if it matters. Is it OK for me to wait till after the holiday? Thanks for respoponding, --- Mika

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Blistering lesions on one half of the body is likely to be herpes. However, it does not cross the med line of the body.
I think you should go to ER as the effect of a drug are not there after 3 days of the rash if its herpes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
