Hello and welcome to HCM, Upper GI endoscopy is done to look for any changes in the GI mucosa like ulcer, bleeding, polyp or any growth. The indications for upper GI endoscopy are reflux disease, gastritis, epigastric pain etc. The presence of red-brown spots do not signify any specific lesion. So, there is no lesion in the GIT.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
