What Do Red Bumps Around The Ankles Indicate?

Oh yes you can, I ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, lately I ve been suffering severely with feet problems, I tried compression stocks which seemed to make it worse, I have these types of nodule, red bumps on my ankles that burn like crazy. I had an unusual morning with my right foot, my big toe felt like electricity was flowing from my big toes all the way up my leg, its scaring the heck out of me. I used my ThEn.S on them which helped a tiny bit. I don t know what to do anymore

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical knowledge, the burning issue is from neuritic effect of the bump which can be inflammatory most likely.

I would recommend to use ice packing, anti inflammatory drugs as ibuprofen at present and then consult with your rheumatologist on priority basis for further care.

Thanks

Dr Purva
