Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I keep getting small red bumps around the lips, chin, and some on my nose. I have gone to the dermatologist and I have been given antibiotics and creams which clear them but they come back. I know of 2 more people around my age who have also gotten these bumps. they almost look like zits but they are not. they are like pockets with clear fluid in them which eventually burst. can you help?
You have symptoms of red bumps around the lips which seems to be due to an allergic reaction to any cosmetic product, viral infection, and could be due to exposure to sunlight.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you avoid hot and spicy food which can increase the pain. Avoid licking or sucking of lips and apply cold compresses. Avoid exposure to sun and apply lip balm with SPF 15. The spot will subside gradually with such a combination of factors. You should visit oral pathologist once if symptoms keep on occurring and complete examination done and start treatment accordingly. You should take one table of Allegra to subside infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
