What Do Red Bumps In The Throat Indicate?

Hi, my name is Silas. I m 27, have some dental issues like cracked and broken teeth and yesterday I noticed I have some red bumps at the very back of my throat. I also have a small whitish patch down the center groove of my tongue that has small spiky things sticking up out of it. I m in no pain but my throat and glands are a little tender.

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your throat problem.

As per your history it can streptococcal infection or tonsillitis. If it is associated with fever you need to take antibiotics like levofloxicin for a week as per my opinion.

The white patch with raised bump on posterior (back) portion of your tongue is a normal thing papilla of tongue.
You must keep your tongue mostly during night using tongue cleaner.

Hope my answer will help you and you will write to us if you feel any need.
Regards
Dr Muzaffar Hussain Parray.
