General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If there is a fungal component to your symptoms,it can take up to 3 weeks in some cases for resolution.
Fungal rashes are slow responding.

You may want to consider adding a low dose steroid cream for a few days to help reduce the itching however.
Steroid creams are often combined with fungal creams initially to help with the itching and inflammation.

Hydrocortisone should be available over the counter since it is low strength.
It should be applied twice daily.

I hope this helps
