Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the bumps at the back of tongue seems to be Circumvallate Papillae that are not a pathology..
CIRCUMVALLATE PAPILLA are elevated bumps present in a "V" shaped pattern that contains
taste buds.
Normally they are slightly raised structures and if they are painless and cause no discomfort there is a possibility that they are not inflamed..
A red bump seems to be an inflamed papillae that on brushing gets traumatized and bleed..
Some inflammation can occur on eating very hot and spicy foods,
smoking,
throat infection, infection on tongue like
thrush etc
If there is some inflammation in the papillae doing warm saline gargles and taking anti-inflammatory medicine like
Ibuprofen can help..
Avoid brushing the tongue to prevent repeated irritation..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
