What Do Red Rashes On The Chest And Stomach Indicate?

Onset of blotchy red patches on my chest, stomach, neck, at the creases of my arm at the elbow and in the crease behind my knees. Characterized by dryness, itchiness and burning. Seems to be soothed, but not remedied, by lotion like Gold-bond. Came on quite suddenly. I’ve asked my wife whether we changed laundry detergent ( we haven’t). No change in diet. Moderate, seasonal changes in weather......sometimes dry, sometimes with high humidity.
