Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Reddish-white Pimples At The Base Of The Penis Indicate?
I have these reddish-white pimples by the base of my penis and on the shaft In some parts. they haven t been there very long and it s been more than a month since I ve been with someone. They don t hurt or itch and I popped one last night and it just bled a lot. I cannot go to the doctor until march because that s when my health insurance kicks in. Please help, what does it sound like?
Hello, After reading your question what I think is that the lesions (pimples) are white and the skin beneath it is reddish. Given your complains what I would suspect is a possible STD despite you mentioning that it is more than a month from your last sexual interiors. This is because the incubation time differs depending on the causative agent. My first doubt would be genital herpes however the other possibilities are not excluded. It's advisable that you have a STD screening at the earliest rather than waiting for your insurance. You can visit a venerologist or your GP for this. If infectious cause is excluded then you can wait for few days before consulting for other reasons.
