What Do Redness In Labia And Purplish Discoloration Around Anus Of A Toddler Suggest?
My 20 month old daughter has slight redness at the bottom of her labia and anus. Also a purplish color ring around her anus. She has been straining to poop lately and has hard bowel movements and has played a lot in the pool and water be of the heat! Does this sound like a rash? Or something more?

I believe it can be diaper rash . It is possible getting worse because of the excess humidity in the pool. You may try to use Sudocrem to help relieve the rash. Keep the area dry and clean.
