What Do Round SOLs In Uterus With Bulkiness In Uterus Suggest?
My wife is 30 yr old, bulky, we are married for 10yrs. We did a IUI as till now we are childless. The IUI failed. Doctors advised to do USG. The report says urinary bladder is normal in shape and size. No SOL seen in lumen. Uterus appears to be bulky in size with heterogenous myometrial echopattern. Rounded SOLs measuring 2.8×2.9cm (fundal), .9×.8cm (anterior), .4×.4 cm and .6×.5 cm in sizes are noted in uterus suggesting my mas. Endometrial thickness .8cm. Cervical canal a is normal. Both ovaries are within normal limits. Want to know if this is cancer and does this needs operation.
Dear, Usg reports of ur wife is suggestive of fibroids of ovary which are non malignant benign tumours of ovary . They can cause various symptoms like irregular periods or dysfunction al uterine bleed , rarely they can lead to infertility if they are of big size but in ur ur case they are not big enough. They can be left alone if small ib size but if they are big they have to be operate . They can hamper in implantation of a xygote so in ur cade they should be operated. Thank you.
