My daughter is 2 month old and she has been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis. She has this red scaly patches on her cheeks inside her neck. We showed it to a skin specialist and he asked us to use eumosone cream cetrizine syrup. But eczema keeps repeating itself. Can you please tell me if i can use the cream whenever the flares come up and also the syrup and stop when it goes?

Hi,

Yes, in fact ectopic eczema do go and comes generally up to 4 to 5 years, when it may completely go away. When it comes you can use the cream and syrup for the time being. Also, use any emollient like baseline or petroleum jelly to keep her skin moist as dryness increases the rash and itch. It's not serious most of the time.

Hope this answer helps you understand your query. Let me know if you have any further questions about it. I would be glad to answer.
