What Do Severe Abdominal Cramps After Child Birth Indicate?
I just gave birth 3 days ago and came home. I took the tylenol perscribed to me and woke up 3hours later in a full sweat but shivering and cold. I ve only drunk a 16 oz bottle of water and ate a very small meal because I was exhausted. I don t have a thermometer but the thermostat in the house reads 76° and Im freezing, could I possibly have a fever and what do I need to do if so? I have severe cramps in my abdomen which the doctor said should be normal but they come in waves like contractions. My daughter was also born 4 weeks prematurely if that makes any difference. Im in pain but im about 35 minutes from the nearest hospital. I ve been up approximately 3 hours and none of my symptoms have subsided after taking my meds.
Your symptoms usually happen with every women after birth, but if it is severe in nature then you can contact doctor nearby. The fever may be due to infection occurred during birth of a baby. You can take antibiotic if possible, and also take lots of fluid.
