What Do Sharp Lower Abdominal Pains Post C Section Suggest?
I had 2 c-sections my last little one was born in 2013 I have been having these sharp pains in my lower abdomen and it bothers me when it s time for my monthly and like 2 weeks after my 7 day cycle and I don t know if it s a discomfort from the scar or an appendix problem.
The sharp pain lower abdomen post C section may be from various clinical conditions such as: - Residual collection in the pelvis giving rise to infection or inflammation - Post operative adhesions involving bladder, colon and uterus - Endometriosis - Others
Kindly get an ultrasound examination of the abdomen and pelvis done after consulting your operating surgeon (OBGYN) for best evaluation of the underlying cause and manage accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
