What Do Sharp Shooting Pain In The Arms Indicate?

a dull pain started in my right dominant arm extending around the elbow down through my hand. When turning or flexing my wrist a sharp pain will shoot up entire arm. It even is at the point that I am unable to lift an empty styrofoam cooler due to the way I must grip it hurts. My regular doctor called this tennis elobow. It has now traveled to my other arm and similar pains are appearing in my legs. Any ideas why or what else it could be?

Hello,

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and get evaluated to rule out possible causes like neuropathic pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
