Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Short Periods With Pregnancy Symptoms Indicate?
My normal period I usually go for 6 days. This time I only went for 3 days. It started off light then got heavy (like normal) then stopped all together. I feel like I'm experiencing all the pregnancy symptoms but I've had those same symptoms turn out to be just PMS. I was just wondering since I've never had such a short period before if I should bother talking a pregnancy test?
Well. this is completely Normal. The normal menses lasts from 2 to 7 days, and having variations in the duration of menses for a month or two is very Normal. If you are pregnant, you will completely MISS a period (NO menses at all, not a day or even minutes). However if you would like to confirm that you are NOT pregnant, you can do the urine pregnancy test.
Again, there is nothing to worry about. This change in menses duration is NOT pathological at all.
Your Sincerely, Basim Abuelnor
