Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am experiencing increasing shortness of breath and fatigue - first noticed 12/26. Climbing even a single flight of stairs leaves me winded. Never had this before. I am 64 years old. I have had chronic moderate chest congestion following what appeared to be flu-like episode immediately after thanksgiving. (lots of family together, with several small children)
Shortness of breath on exertion is concerning for cardiac or pulmonary issues. EKG, chest Xray, echocardiogram are needed at this point. So please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider for further evaluation and management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regard, Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
