hi, i m 62 years old and a smoker, and overweight. about a week ago I started getting shortness of breath and pressure in my chest like someone is pressing on it. I stopped smoking hoping it might get better but it hasn t. i m on s.s. and can t afford insurance and am looking for any advice e
These may be symptoms of a serious heart condition. It is good that you stopped smoking, but you need to see a doctor as soon as possible even if that means going to an emergency. Start taking aspirin daily, avoid all fried foods, and if this pressure and shortness of breath ever lasts more than a few minutes call an ambulance because you may be having a heart attack.
