Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. I have developed small bumps with white heads below my belly butting a while ago. Although some have disappeared without any treatment, I have now located some on my penile shaft. There is a small cluster of 4-5, then a few other single ones spread out. I have found a picture on the internet, and will provide a link to the picture of what it looks like. I am sexually active, but I have not had sex with anyone new in almost a year now. I want to rule out any STD s if I can to save me from an embarrassing trip to my doctor. These bumps do not itch or cause any irritation/pain. They have been on my penile shaft for a few weeks now. I m hoping they are just a skin condition and not a STD. Thank you!! Chaz
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per my clinical experience, the bumps on penis shaft seems to be sebaceous cyst lesions most likely. However, still if you can provide a photo picture of the same in attachment form (if no objection) when you proceed for the follow up. I can still focus sharply on the management guidelines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
