Hi, I have a problem with the slightest bump or scrap on my arms it look like Thrombocytopenia . I am 65 years old. The only medication I take is Atenanol once a day, and Prilosec once a day. I have a dark spot sometimes small and at times big as an egg. It looks like the blood spreads under the skin. Can you help?
Atenolol is beta-blocker and antihypertensive drug. It lowers the blood pressure and heart rate and increases the blood sugars in the diabetic patients.
It won't give any pigmented spots on the skin and Prilosec, is omeprazole, is proton pump acid inhibitor. it has H2 receptor block property. it is not intiate the dark spots on the skin.
My opinion in this case, dark spots may be prolong sun exposure. Sunscreen lotion morning and skin lightening with moisturizer in the night may suffice and may get a good result.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
