Ammonia-like odor from the vagina could be due to the vesicovaginal fistula. A vescico-vaginal fistula is an abnormal communication between urinary bladder and vagina leading to leakage of urine from the vagina.
Ammonia is produced by the decomposition of urine. On the contrary, the pungent odor from the vagina could be due to vaginal infection.
I suggest you consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and thus management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
